Breaking the Bank in Monte Carlo!

We arrived a bit late in Monaco due to a bit of bad weather.  We went out for a
stroll on the Lido deck last night and noticed the wind was a bit gusty, to say
the least.  When we checked the ships weather it indicated winds were blowing at
120 Kph.

But today as an absolutely perfect day in Monaco with temperatures in the upper
20's.  I had high expectations for this port and I've got to say it was much nicer
than I had expected, and photographs just don't do it justice.

We had a full day of sightseeing, starting out with a hike up to the old City, and
stopping into the Cathedral where the former heads of state are buried, including
Princess Grace and her hubby Prince Rainier.  The cathedral architecture was
amazing.

From there, we visited the Palace which is still the official residence of the
Prince and his family.

Immaculate, gardens and parks are scattered throughout the entire city.

From there, we headed down to the Monte Carlo Casino. If the cars parked out front
were any indication (and I'm sure they were)  big bucks were changing hands inside.
But again, the building and vintage gambling equipment displays were very
impressive.

Tomorrow.. Pisa and a Tuscany winery tour. I hear it's one happy bus returning to
the ship!
